Redcats Aquires Scandinavian JotexRedcats, ranked as the number three home-shopping company worldwide and a member of the PPR Group, is to acquire Jotex, the Scandinavian mail-order home textiles retailer. This latest aquisition is complementary to Redcats' strategy of further developing its international presence and increasing its non-apparel product lines.
Jotex will now join Redcats Nordic, the Nordic region's leading home-shopping company with brands such as Ellos, Josefssons, Enjoy, Nuova and La Redoute.
Present in Sweden, Norway and Finland, and well-positioned in the home textiles market, Jotex complements Redcats Nordic's existing business.
In 2003, Jotex had total sales of €30 million (SEK 265 million), of which 16.6% was generated via the Internet.
Redcats has operations in Europe, the United States, Japan and China, and presently publish 30 different catalogue titles, while continuing to expand and to develop new retail concepts.
