Argos Christmas Savings ClubArgos appears set to launch a Christmas savings club in an attempt to attract the customers who were let down by Farepak Hampers, the once popular hamper company which went into administration just before Christmas last year.
After the Farepak debacle, Argos was one of the retailers at which Farepak customers could redeem their savings vouchers. The new scheme would see Argos offer its regular savers bonuses and is intended to trial from 100 stores in the north of England.
The Farepak business is still being scrutinised by the DTI's Investigations Unit.
